A recruitment form and CV upload link for small hiring teams

The role goes live at 9am. By lunchtime you have 80 emails. Some have a CV attached, some say "please find my CV attached" and don't, a few send a LinkedIn profile, and one candidate has written to the hiring manager directly, who forwards it with "can you add this to the pile?"

There isn't a pile. There is an inbox, shared with everything else you do, and every CV in it is personal data you are now responsible for.

Most recruiters don't need an applicant tracking system to fix this. They need a way to collect CVs online in one place, close the door on the deadline, and know when something arrives.

A recruitment form and one CV link per role, not an email chain

The email problem isn't the volume. It is that every application arrives in a slightly different shape, mixed in with everything else, and stays in your inbox long after the role is filled.

A single place per role fixes most of it. Candidates send their CV to one link, the files land together, and when the role closes the link stops accepting anything.

One link per role is the habit that does most of the work. It keeps roles apart, it gives you a clear deadline, and it means CVs from different searches never get mixed up.

One upload link per role

With TinyX you create an upload link and paste it into the job advert where the application instructions go. Candidates open it and upload their CV directly. They don't need an account or an app.

You can give the link an expiry date, so it stops accepting uploads on your closing date, and a cap on the number of uploads if the role has a hard limit. When either is reached, candidates see that the link is closed. You can add a password if you are running a confidential search and only want invited candidates to apply.

Upload links come with Pro and Max, and each file can be up to 50 MB on Pro or 500 MB on Max.

Getting a message when a CV arrives

You don't want to refresh a dashboard between calls. A webhook can post to Slack, Discord or any service that accepts webhooks whenever something happens on the link.

A webhook on a TinyX link receives every event on that link: uploads, but also page opens. You can't choose which events it sends, so if you only want CV arrivals in your channel, filter on the event type in the tool that receives it. Webhooks are on every plan, and the number you can use is listed on the pricing page.

Screening questions before the CV

Often you need five answers before a CV is worth reading: right to work, notice period, salary expectation, location and years of experience.

A TinyX questionnaire puts those questions behind a short link. Candidates answer without signing up, and you export responses to CSV to sort before you open a single document. You can set a response cap and an expiry date to match the role. Free includes five questionnaires, and Pro and Max raise that. We compared this approach with form builders in a Typeform alternative for people who mostly need an intake form.

Answers sit in your account, not end-to-end encrypted and with the candidate's IP address and location, until you delete them, so don't ask for anything you wouldn't keep in a spreadsheet.

Which job board sent your best candidates

If you post the same role on four boards, give each board its own short link to the same application page. TinyX counts clicks per link, with country, device and referrer breakdowns, on every plan. After a couple of weeks you know which boards are worth paying for.

Every link counts toward your monthly allowance, including upload and form links. Free includes 25 links a month and Pro 1,000. Link analytics: what your clicks are actually telling you explains how to read the numbers.

Handling candidate data with care

CVs are personal data, so decide how long you keep them before the role opens. We can't advise on that.

What TinyX can do is keep CVs out of shared inboxes and close the door on time. Upload links can require end-to-end encryption, which needs a password, so files are encrypted in the candidate's browser before they leave their device. Without it, CVs are protected in transit and at rest, but not end to end. When you no longer need a CV, delete it.

Where to start

Pick your next open role and set up one upload link with an expiry on the closing date, plus one short link per job board. Compare Pro and Max on the pricing page to choose the plan that fits your volume.
